Faculty Member in Neuroscience, 108 Military Central Hospital and College of Health Sciences, VinUniversity

Dr. Trang is a clinical neurologist and translational neuroscientist whose work focuses on prion diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and brain aging. For more than a decade, she has been actively involved in research on human prion diseases, with a particular interest in biomarker development and early diagnostic approaches.

Dr. Trang graduated with honors from the Military Medical University in Vietnam and completed a three-year neurology residency at 103 Military Hospital in 2012. She later obtained her PhD with distinction and received the President’s Award for academic excellence.

Her research focuses on biomarker-driven approaches to prion and other neurodegenerative diseases, particularly the development and clinical application of RT-QuIC assays. She has conducted pioneering studies exploring the noninvasive detection of prion-seeding activity using hair roots and scalp tissue.

Dr. Trang has published in international peer-reviewed journals including Scientific Reports, Neurobiology of Disease, Pathogens, and Neuropathology, and regularly presents her research on prion diagnostics and neurodegenerative biomarkers at national and international scientific conferences.
