Dr. Sezgi Canaslan Eyyuboglu

Sezgi earned her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Boğaziçi University in 2017, where she also completed her Master’s in the same department in 2019. She went on to receive her PhD in Molecular Medicine from the Georg August University of Göttingen, focusing on biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly synucleinopathies and prion disorders.

Since 2024, she has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Prion Research Group at the Neurology Department of the University Medical Center Göttingen, where she continues her research on neurodegenerative diseases. Alongside her academic work, she is actively establishing the Turkish Prion Disease Association to advance research, raise awareness, and provide support for patients and families affected by these rare conditions.
