Dr. Susana Margarida da Silva Correia is a Portuguese neuroscientist specializing in prion disease research at the University Medical Center Göttingen, Germany.
She earned her Ph.D. at the German National Reference Center for Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies, where she made a groundbreaking contribution to medicine by developing the first diagnostic test to detect pathological prion protein in tear fluid.
