Jennifer Cooke

Journalist and Author

Jennifer Cooke is an award-winning journalist and author who has worked in Sydney, Hong Kong and Washington DC over the last 45 years for newspapers including the Sydney Morning Herald and the South China Morning Post as well as online websites and specialist publications.

Her first book Cannibals, Cows & the CJD Catastrophe won the 1999 Eureka Science Book Prize. She has co-authored two other books in the true crime genre, edited a news magazine for general practitioners and currently edits the publication Australian Pharmacist.

Jennifer has befriended and assisted people at risk of acquiring CJD for more than 30 years and is a founding member of CJDISA.
