Noa Bregman, MD
Director, Cognitive Neurology Unit, Tel Aviv Medical Center
Dr. Noa Bregman is a neurologist and Director of the Cognitive Neurology Unit at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (TASMC), Israel, and a Senior Lecturer at the Grey Faculty of Medicine and Sagol School of Neuroscience at Tel Aviv University. She
specializes in cognitive neurology, with a focus on Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Dementia with Lewy Bodies (CLB), and prion diseases.
Dr. Bregman leads a multidisciplinary clinical and research program dedicated to early diagnosis and advanced therapies for neurodegenerative diseases. She established the Center for Advanced Treatments in Alzheimer’s Disease at TASMC, one of the first centers outside the United States to implement amyloid-targeting therapies, including lecanemab and donanemab, in routine clinical practice. Her work focuses on integrating clinical care with biomarker-driven diagnostics, including MRI, CSF, and blood-based biomarkers.
Her research centers on real-world implementation of disease-modifying therapies, with particular emphasis on imaging biomarkers and risk stratification for treatment response and amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA). She collaborates with international partners on the application of AI-based MRI quantification tools to improve patient selection and monitoring. Dr. Bregman is also actively involved in biomarker research, including plasma p-tau217 and amyloid assays, aiming to refine early and accurate diagnosis of AD.
In addition to her work in Alzheimer’s disease, Dr. Bregman leads Israel’s national referral center for Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD), contributing to clinical care and longitudinal research in these rare neurodegenerative conditions.
Dr. Bregman is an invited speaker at international conferences and serves as a reviewer for leading journals in neurology and neurodegeneration. She collaborates with academic and industry partners on clinical trials, biomarker studies, and implementation science in neurodegenerative diseases.
